
(moderator) commutes between Berlin and New York. She married a New Yorker and works as a TV journalist, filmmaker and cinematographer, most notably for the ZDF and 3sat. Since 1994, she has traveled the world, producing more than 300 pieces for culture and science shows. Born in East Berlin, Christine moved to West Berlin two years before the fall of the Wall. She holds a Magistra Artium from the Freie Universität Berlin for Theater and Film Studies, Philosophy and Psychology. Additionally, she has trained as a television journalist and participated in the prestigious Documentary Campus. As a writer and experimental filmmaker she received several grants from the Berlin Senate. Christine was awarded the ‘Medienpreis Entwicklungspolitik’ by the Federal Ministry for Development Policy for her profile on the architect Francis Kéré, and was jointly nominated with her co-producer Nelson Farber for ‘LiteraVision 2014,” for the best contribution to literature appearing on TV, for their profile of American author Nicholson Baker, which was broadcast on ZDF/aspekte.
