(author) is an author and translator, born in Ames (Iowa, USA) in 1982 who now splits her time between Berlin and Vienna. In 2007 her first poetry collection “Fremdwörterbuchsonette“ was published and was the recipient of the Reinhart-Priessnitz-Preis (2007) and the Clemens-Brentano Preis (2008). In 2014 she received the Adelbert-von-Chamisso-Preis, a verse epic “Verbannt!” was published in 2016.
In 2017 she became a member of the Berliner Akademie der Künste and in 2018 she received a grant from Villa Aurora.
