(publisher) was born in 1971, studied in Passau and Paris and received his doctorate in philosophy in 2003. In 2004 he took over the Munich publishing house Matthes & Seitz, with whom he moved to Berlin in the same year.
On behalf of Matthes & Seitz Berlin, Andreas Rötzer has since published the theoretical series Fröhliche Wissenschaft in addition to an extensive programme of non-fiction books, contemporary fiction literature and, since 2013, the series Naturkunden together with Judith Schalansky. In 2017 he was named Publisher of the Year by BuchMarkt.
